Good news for baby humans: many prolife achievements, written by me Gloria Poole,RN,artist; of/in Missouri

Prolife news and events compiled today 26th May 2016 by me [Ms] Gloria Poole,Registered Nurse and artist in all art mediums, from newsletters and content sent to my inboxes. I am numbering them for ease of reference. : 1) "The national pro-life organization Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) has announced its endorsement of Rep. Doug Collins for reelection in Georgia’s Ninth Congressional District.

“Congressman Collins has been a faithful advocate for the sanctity of life and we are proud to endorse him in his reelection bid,” said Susan B. Anthony List Vice President of Government Affairs, former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave. “Rep. Collins has a pristine pro-life voting record and fully supported the defunding of Planned Parenthood, "

2) On May 25th South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) signed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act – a bill that protects unborn children from abortions after 20 weeks fetal age,

And second article on that :

"Republican Gov. Nikki Haley signed legislation Wednesday that immediately outlaws most abortions in South Carolina at 20 weeks beyond fertilization."

And more: "Soon after South Carolina's legislature approved the measure last week, the bill's sponsor, Republican state Rep. Wendy Nanney told Reuters that she believes "life begins at conception."

And the teeth in that bill: "WSOC News 9 reported that a doctor could be fined up to $10,000 and face approximately three years in prison if they violate the legislation."

3) "MAY 25, 2016: A federal judge on Monday ruled that police in Maine cannot enforce a disruptive noise provision in the state's Civil Rights Act to curb antiabortion-rights protests outside of a Portland clinic, Bangor Daily News reports (Harrison, Bangor Daily News, 5/23)."

4) Women at abortuaries are being sent txt messages to ask them to reconsider and put their baby up for adoption : "It's interesting, then, that Boston-based executive John Flynn's anti-abortion advertising campaign is able to send ads to women in abortion clinics, using geo-tags furnished by smartphones. But, as the Cut reported, it's apparently legal...."Marketing for pregnancy help centers has always been a needle in a haystack approach—cast a wide net and hope for the best," Jennie VanHorn, regional marketing manager for the adoption agency Bethany Christian Services, told anti-abortion site Live Actions News.

Copley has sent Bethany's ads to patients at 140 abortion clinics in New York City; St. Louis; Richmond, Virginia; Pittsburgh and Columbus, Ohio. "With geo fencing, we can reach women who we know are looking for or in need of someone to talk to," VanHorn said.

And more on that :"Copley Advertising, a Boston marketing agency, is working with several pro-life groups to reach abortion-minded women with the ads. According to the agency, one client reached 800,000 women so far, and 2,000 clicked on the ad to the client’s website.

Fortune explains how the technology works:The anti-abortion targeting effort relies on a feature of ad networks known as geofencing. Typically, geofencing has been used by retail stores to identify that a customer who installed their app has entered one of their physical locations. That allows the retailer to send a targeted message (“50% off Oreos in Aisle 3”) to the customer just at the time when they are poised to make a purchase.

Bethany Christian Services, an adoption agency that also offers pregnancy and parenting resources, is one of the groups that uses the ads." Life News

5) Good news: restrictions on abortion are occurring across US: - More than two dozen states have passed what National Right to Life, an anti-abortion group, calls "right-to-know" laws explaining risks and alternatives to women seeking abortions.

- Six U.S. states require that women be told personhood begins at conception when they seek abortions....

- Five states require that women be told there is a link between abortion and breast cancer, ...

- Three states require that ultrasounds be performed on women seeking abortions and that the provider describe and show them the images....- North Dakota and Indiana have laws that prohibit abortions in cases of fetal abnormality such as Down syndrome. The law in Indiana takes effect on July 1.

- The anti-abortion group Americans United for Life lists Oklahoma as the state "most protective" of unborn children, followed by Kansas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. It ranks Washington state, Vermont, New Jersey, California and Oregon as "least protective."

" from Thompson Reuters

6) National Pro-life Alliance is suing to protect its freedom of speech : " An anti-abortion group is asking a federal judge to prevent Montana’s commissioner of political practices from seeking penalties against it for mailings it sent during the 2012 Republican primary elections.

The National Pro-Life Alliance says in its lawsuit filed Tuesday the mailings it sent in the race between state Sen. Bruce Tutvedt and challenger Rollan Roberts II was protected issue advocacy."

7) Oklahoma's legislature got it right but their Gov flubbed it : "First, the state legislature approved a bill criminalizing the act of providing an abortion in Oklahoma."

8) Birmingham, UK : "Birmingham hosted the fourth annual March for Life, bringing together “pro-life” campaigners from across the UK (and further afield, including Ireland, France, Spain, Mexico, Slovakia)....

We saw the slogan “Life from Conception, No Exception!” printed on wristbands, hoodies and t-shirts. One participant told us: “It’s got a kind of a Glastonbury feel about it!”.

9) "The House Select Panel on Infant Lives has issued nine subpoenas to controversial late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart, his abortion facility in Germantown, Maryland...Apart from Carhart and his Germantown Reproductive Health Services, the subpoenas have been issued to Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, Montgomery County Police Department, Montgomery County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center, Butler Medical Transport, and the Maryland Board of Physicians. 10) A prolife leader will be part of Kansas delegation to GOP Convention: "The delegation also will include Executive Director Mary Kay Culp of Kansans for Life. It’s the most influential anti-abortion group at the Statehouse."

11) Republican Party of Texas platform sounds good to me : "It wants sex ed teachers to teach abstinence until marriage wants to ban the morning-after pill, and doesn't want condoms distributed in schools."

10) "Phil Bryant, Mississipi Governor, signed a state senate bill to defund Planned Parenthood to stop state funding to its abortion clinic. Governor Bryant expressed his happiness as he signed the bill on Tuesday. The bill was written by Sen. Joey Fillingane.

In his twitter, Governor Bryant expressed his happiness as reported by WDAM TV News, "Happy to sign Senate Bill 2238. Taxpayer dollars should not fund abortions." From 13th May edition of the Lawyer Herald of Mississippi ;

11) Northern Ireland won prolife victory : "Bernie Smyth of Precious Life said the success of the robustly anti-abortion DUP in holding on to the same number of seats as in 2011 showed that “Northern Ireland voted pro-life on Thursday May 5”.

Read more: She said: “The DUP and SDLP have publicly made clear that they are pro-life parties.
